Traditional Lecture notes follow the system based format, such as genitourinary, gastrointestinal, or pulmonary system groupings. These will be outlined and will fit most NP curriculums. Current options include advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology and clinical course of the mature family (geriatrics). All traditional notes are free for download.
Guided Lecture Notes
Guided lecture notes are outlined notes that take the next step, these include pictures, diagrams, missing information, and questions that use active learning. The guided notes ask questions and stimulate deeper understanding as they use higher order thought processes. They are to be used in conjunction with your textbook readings, such as your advanced pathophysiology text, and the matching videos in our video library. Vignette Notes
A unique pedagogy designed by Professor Jaimalee are the vignette notes. These notes use a clinical vignette (case scenario) designed to focus on advanced concepts in pathophysiology, pharmacology, assessment, or diagnostics. You are the practitioner in the simulation with a goal of an astute diagnosis, all while picking out key features of epidemiology, etiology, clinical features, and pertinent laboratory and imaging results. These cases are designed to obtain a focused outcome by the student. There are videos and counseling sessions available to review your answers and finalize your thought processes with the professor.
